Residents pursue backpacking, hiking, camping, horseback riding, kayaking and biking at this national seashore. China Camp State Park and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area offer similar activities. The 1,640-acre China Camp State Park was once a Chinese shrimp-fishing village. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area – one of the world’s largest urban national parks – boasts approximately 28 miles of coastline and more than 75,000 acres of land and water.
